Skutt Kiln Buying Process

Buying a kiln can seem like a daunting process, but we are here to help make the process easy and understandable. A typical kiln order follows this process:

1)      Customer research / background information

2)      Quote request

3)      Order confirmation / downpayment

4)      8-10 week lead time

5)      Delivery, installation, or pick up

 

To request a quote, please provide the following:

 

-          Name, exact delivery address, best phone number, email.

-          ***Voltage and Phase number needed***

-          Kiln Model (as it appears on Skutt website)

-          Accessories required, i.e. furniture kit, vent system etc.

-          Delivery + Installation / pick up needs.

-          If inside delivery is required, a brief description of where you need the kiln installed i.e. Basement, Garage, etc.

 

*NOTE* Inside delivery/ installation covers setting the kiln up in the space required. Ceramic Supply Chicago does NOT connect the kiln to electrical breakers or install ventilation exhaust. We recommend consulting a professional electrician to connect your kiln to power.

 

Once a quote is confirmed as an order and a downpayment is made, your kiln will be ordered from Skutt. All Skutt kilns are built to order and take 6-8 weeks to arrive at our location. Once the kiln is received by our warehouse, we will work with you to schedule a delivery/ installation time.
